This is a 'lite version' of the Shakespeare Play Reader for Windows. It runs as a web application that is downloaded from the SMH Systems website on demand, together with whatever play you choose to read. This is an example of a specialised reader that is optimised for a particular document type - in this case the plays of Shakespeare which have been marked up in SGML and put into the public domain. The same approach could be used to provide handheld viewers for technical materials such as product catalogues and specifications.
