The Manuals Machine™

The Manuals Machine could be the only tool that you need to prepare and deliver your business, technical and product documentation.

We developed it for our documentation services work and now offer it as a shareware software product in its own right. You can use The Manuals Machine to:

• develop pages of documentation that have the familiar look-and-feel of Microsoft Word documents
• organise these like a book
• read using a viewer that provides simple left-pane navigation in the style of Windows Help and Adobe Acrobat
• publish by simply putting on your network server, together with a copy of the viewer.

All of the pages that you develop, and the index structures, are XML files viewed using XSLT stylesheets built to W3C standards. The documentation that you prepare using The Manuals Machine can be deployed to your network or intranet servers, distributed as folders on CD-ROM or flashdisk, or copied to notebook drives. Windows users do not have to install any software - the only pre-requisite is the embedded browser and the XML resources that are included in every installation of Windows.

You can also deliver the documentation from web servers, and you can use The Manuals Machine to prepare standalone HTML pages for your website.
